Good bye Singapore
Thursday, March 27, 2008 5:23 AM

I've just checked into Terminal 1, and am enjoying all the luxuries over here. I just had my feet massaged by the OSIM Big Foot Massage and am waiting for my Sakae Sushi orders to be ready. This is simply great. I'm so excited that I didn't slept at all earlier on.

Instead, drove Shenghao out to Bukit Timah for some prata supper again at 1am till 3am before we came back to get ourselves prepared. And, we took loads of pictures already. (I'll post them up when I am back) Thanks to D's digital camera. He bought me my S500i memory card. Though it might seem like a small matter, but hey, I really appreciate it and thanks a lot. =D

It's time for me to feast on my sakae sushi. Till then, GOODBYE SINGAPORE !!!

Just for Laugh Gag
Saturday, March 22, 2008 1:13 AM

Laughter/Happiness is something you create yourself and then share with others. Make happiness and laughing your prority. The laughter you shared today will improve your health for tomorrow. [A simple medical benefit of laughing: Reduces stress chemicals from system while releasing endorphins, serontonin, dopamine into the body which affects our sense of well-being while increasing our level of pain tolerance]

PS: It has been so long since I've laughed that hard.. Laughing like a mad cow..

The significance of Easter

New interest - Squash
1:56 PM

Now that I've sold my yoga membership to Christine, it's time I find a new sports to keep myself occupied. After knowing that Jiewei's so enthusiatic in playing tennis recently, I've also begun to take on a new interest in a similar ball-related game, squash. I've always find that squash is interesting but hadn't had a chance to learn. The fact that NYP has a squash court is certainly getting me all excited.

Well let's see...how far will my new interest take me to....?

Easter Preparation
Thursday, March 20, 2008 11:31 PM

I was down at the beautiful St Andrew’s Cathedral for the whole afternoon of today, helping Priscilla with the preparation for Easter on Sunday, along with Arlene, Eric, Marie. Eric gave the girls a surprise, each of us got a sunflower or rose! (That was so sweet!) Thank you, Eric! The sight of flowers made our mood more beautiful, we’re girls after all. Cheers.

You guys better appreciate the Easter poster and handouts on Sunday, because we put in a lot of hard work to do it. (Not to forget the efforts put in by Priscilla and Marie) Even if you were to throw it away, please do not throw it away in front of us.. Noooo!

Afterwards, I met up with Regina for a short dinner as well as some crazy picture taking session at my favorite part of the shopping mall at Bugis, the Neoprint Shop. The backgrounds of the neo-print station were so alluring that we decided that we had to step inside and take some pictures! How can anyone ever resist that, at least not me? I’m such a freak.

Regina was my classmate for the first two years while studying in Ngee Ann Polytechnic – Business Studies. In my impression, she was a very hardworking girl, a tad too hardworking for me to digest though. In my first semester, she was in my project group along with Patricia and Jean. However, she later withdrew from our group as she found that we were slackers, probably didn’t meet her expectation. (Ohmigosh) It is funny to reminisce the things which happened those days!

One thing which I never expect was, to keep in contact with her until this very day and to maintain a good friendship with her. It is always good to keep a friend, rather than lose a friend and I’m glad to have you with me.(As promised, I will date you out on Sundays in future for gym ya? Muacks!)

Ephesians 4:26-27
Wednesday, March 19, 2008 6:41 PM

“In your anger do not sin. Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.” Ephesians 4:26-27

After reaching home from the East yesterday, I opened the letterbox and found a thick Harry Potter book inside. My first thought was, the post-lady must have put this book in the wrong letter-box. I quickly scanned through the book with yellowish dog-eared pages. It looked old. Out of good-will gestures, I put it above the letterbox since it wasn’t mine or anyone else in my family.

My Myanmar tenant came back home, and asked if I have seen a Harry Potter book in the letterbox, saying that it was hers as she borrowed it from her friend; and put it there for a few minutes as she went off to buy something else. I was shocked; and my mom quickly went downstairs to search for the book but to no avail.

Later, from the tone of my Myanmar tenant, I know that she was a little pissed off as the book belonged to her friend etc etc. I was pissed off too, ok? Apparently, no tenants meddles with the letterbox since all the letters were for us and if she wanted to put something in there, she could have at least called back to inform us in case one of us opened the letterbox & threw away the book.

I then told her that I’ll pay for the new book, reluctantly & angrily. Then I went back to my room and shut the door. I tried to recall what the front-page hardcover looks like, with a plan to get it from the bookstore the next day. It turned out that it was the 4th book from the series. Many thanks to Kerin Dajie for helping me to figure out which edition it was. (I love you)

This afternoon, my mom went out to buy something. On her way down, she murmured a prayer to the Lord, hoping that the book would be there on top of the letterbox. She didn’t expect that God really did answer that prayer, that book was right on top there! I was pleasantly surprised too, now I don’t have to pay for that book anymore!

God can strength our faith through small incidents like this, I’m really amazed. But I am still feeling guilty for having that kind of attitude yesterday. It occurred to me that God was gently nudging me and reminding me that He is still the One in control of every thing, big or small and I should be more self-controlled in terms of temper wise.

God is so wonderful. Amen?

Bumming in the East
4:06 PM

A perfect term to describe my life now would be "Professional Bummer", you've no idea how I am enjoying life now, sleeping and bumming around as if there was no end to it. Well, the past 2 days has been great, with the company of my 大榴莲姐. The journey to the East was a dull and spiritless one, it certainly made me wish that I had CREATIVE Zen Vision to keep my sense entertained throughout the whole journey. My current brandless mp4 player would do the work for now, since I'm a poor student now. =S

I've always thought that I had the messiest room around but my perspective changed when I stepped into my cousin's room. My first question to her was, "Did an Afghanistan war just happened in your room??" OK, it wasn't exactly a question, more of a remark with big big exclaimation marks!!! So it was, "Did an Afghanistan war just happened in your room!!!!!!" You'll be truly shocked the same way I did, when you stepped foot into her pig sty, oops, room.

Anyway, here're some pictures to keep you entertained, for a while.

Fruits chocolate fondue at Fishermen Village:

Moving on to the next restaurant for our very late dinner cum supper at Fishermen Village, sitting by the shore and having our dinner was simply a luxury.

Sneak preview of the war-zone:

At the end of 2nd day, decided to mend the slipper of my flipflops before travelling to the West. The cobbler was a nice and friendly uncle; it costs only $1. And I'll be developing this photo, as promised to uncle. I've uncle-yuan ok? =S

Till then.
