Wednesday, April 29, 2009 8:09 PM there has been much attention on the Continuing Education program such as the Accelerated Nursing Dip which is my course. Just last week, our PM came to NYP & visited our stimulation labs. my whole class were all involved; some of us were in the labs with our nurse uniform on, some of us had to be in e reception area etc. whatever it is, there were so much cameras (media) flashing on that day, really an eye-opener. some of us were in the news and newspaper ;) just this week, we were all prepared on monday to face the media once again. this time, it was the malay media. some of us, incld me volunteered to be at the operating theater for the filming while the rest were at the biology lab. basically, i think there's a lot of emphasis on my course because of the economic downturn, interesting ha? anyway, here's some snapshots on that monday. the actual show will be aired on suria channel on thurs (tmr) 10.30pm! my lecturer, mdm asmah will be interviewed as well!      and just last saturday, went to indonesia (belakang padang) for shirley's popo wake. her popo really treat me very nice whenever i saw her, and i must pay my last respects to her so i went w my dad, my other cousin and my gugu. i know you're still very sad, but i think you're very strong already. right now, don't think too much aldr. try to focus on your work as i know popo wouldn't want u to be too sad too. i hope the FLUFFY i bought for u will cheer u up. *hugs* i'm just a call away fr u if u need me! ;)

Sunday, April 19, 2009 8:49 PM my many thanks to the dear friends who gave us their utmost wishes and blessings. it's been such a pleasant experience reading the tagged notes in FB, even fr some of my dear friends whom we hve not kept in touch. you've all been such sweeties and we'll inform if the wedding is near! one thing is for sure, the planning will probably only start after my graduation nx april. (: i'm back from bintan today and i def enjoyed my short getaway with dee. i'm a lil sunburnt and much much tanner now; probably due to today's swim. i really think i didn't make the wrong choice in booking nirwana resort - the swimming pool is beautiful because it actually faces the sea! btw, the unique experience today is: i was in e same pool with a komodo dragon. no alarm. :) over there, we tried almost everything from jetski, banana boat, atv, archery to rifle shooting. we also found time to do some snorkelling only to discover that the coral reefs aren't exactly beautiful over there. it's really nothing compared to my last trip to pulau tioman. oh, we also wore matching cowboy/girl suits and ride a horse today, yee-haa! i think the best part has got to be the fireflies discovery tour yester-night! we went into the mangrove swamp & held fireflies in our palms, under the beautiful stars-lit sky.           i'd really love to go back there again someday. i'm suffering from post-holiday syndrome now. it's sch reopening tmr and we're gg to be back to that kind of hectic schedule once again.. when is the next holiday coming?!

Tuesday, April 14, 2009 11:48 PM it's a special day, for you are born today! many a times, you were the one who were right beside me when i needed someone the most. it is funny how you have been a large part of my life, it's as if you're my sister.
i probably couldn't ever say finish how much we have actually been through together. and today, we celebrate your birthday together. i hope that you've enjoyed the celebration as much as we does.. and lastly, happy birthday once again, lovelie. ;) *the best thing was, she dragged me onto the stage by force and i ended up singing the song by myself. it's almost as if i was the one being sabo-taged.. whose great idea was it right from the start anyway??! (errr..) we still totally enjoyed the celebration..and it's happy to meet up with people whom you havent been meeting up for donkey years. *i'm happy to know that i've a bunch of crazy yet close knitted cousins.. ;)

Tuesday, April 7, 2009 10:56 PM i was web-caming with my bro when i got really fed up with my HP mini's webcam - why? it was too dark, and the other party really couldn't see me at all. i thus complained to my techno-savvy cousin and asked her if there was any solution. she's quick, immediately helped to google bt it & pasted a no. of websites which offer explainations on why my webcam's like that.. it turns out that there's a dark film placed behind the webcam in the manufacturing process by HP, for reasons which we do not know. it's probably to protect the webcam? and many users of HP mini, incld myself, have faced problems of the webcam being too dark.. and thus, according to a website which xiaohan provided, the solution was to open up the casing & use a tweezer to get the dark film out. it initially sounded all too risky to me, as there might be possibility that the LCD screen might crack or smth in e process. but i was really too fed up with my webcam to care, and i decided to just go ahead with it. and thus, with the help of toothpicks & a few repeats of the Youtube "how to open HP casing", i managed to get it out. though, i scratched the cover a little, but not noticeable. for curiosity sake, if you're interested to know the process of taking out the dark film, please click here for a video demostration. anyway, here's a screen shot of me, my dogs & my family web-caming with my bro who's in Beijing at this moment, enjoying his life. (web-cam is black & white/blurred/dark, before being repaired by me) PS: the dog in the screen is not my beautiful beauty, she's rosy, a dog extra who happened to pass by on e set.

Monday, April 6, 2009 11:28 AM we had a special treat - steamboat for dinner yesternight since my brother was leaving for Beijing for 6 weeks. 6 weeks was probably nothing, but considering that he hasn't been out of town for THAT long except for short trips holidaying with friends. This was probably one of those moment my mom became exceptionally worried abt him abt his coping ability in Beijing.
