Wound Stitching Removal
Thursday, June 12, 2008 5:48 PM  Another random picture of our class again, taken during our nursing lab practical lesson. Standing in the middle is Mdm Asmah, a much hated and loved lecturer. Sometimes she speak so fast that we couldn't catch what she's saying & at other times, she contradict herself. Tho she has her bad points, but her good point is that.. She's more lenient than Mdm Ee in the practical assessment perhaps?We're learning on wound stitches removal and wound healing this week; and we're practicing on a shoulder pad. We've to do up the 'stitches' using black thread to stitch it on; and after we finish practicing the removal of the stitch, we got to stitch it back again & practice again. Ok, this goes on again & again.. I can't help but to re-emphasize the fact that I really hate stitching. Here's a pic of the shoulder pad which we practices on; red dot representing bloody wound and tube representing drainage tube fr surgical site. Oh, fyi. Nurses are not doing the stitching & stapling of wound, doctors will be the ones doing it. We'll just be removing the drainage tube & removing stitches. So, don't worry yeah? =D
