Happy birthday to my cousin, XH!
Tuesday, April 14, 2009 11:48 PM

it's a special day, for you are born today! many a times, you were the one who were right beside me when i needed someone the most. it is funny how you have been a large part of my life, it's as if you're my sister.

recalling the times when we supported each other through a phase which only the gfs of armyboys will go through; how we've managed to sms each other for encouragement in order to tide through that crucial period which could mean life and death in a relationship. and how could i ever forget the times when you supported me through the toughest period in my life - when i had to deal with the heartbreak when my longtime bf left me.

i probably couldn't ever say finish how much we have actually been through together. and today, we celebrate your birthday together. i hope that you've enjoyed the celebration as much as we does.. and lastly, happy birthday once again, lovelie. ;)

*today's celebration was a real simple one; we invited our long-time-no-see cousin (ah leng) and ling ling, the youngest of all. oh, i don't know how we're related but she has to call me 表姨. i'm really bad at knwing the relations genogram & all. i made some arrangements w live band at fish and co to sabo xiaohan & make her sing on stage. the fallback was, they don't play chinese songs. i chose a song which i thought was probably the simplest of all: more than words. and it turns out that my dear cousin DO NOT KNOW HOW to sing AT ALL. (now we all know who is the mountain turtle..)

*the best thing was, she dragged me onto the stage by force and i ended up singing the song by myself. it's almost as if i was the one being sabo-taged.. whose great idea was it right from the start anyway??! (errr..) we still totally enjoyed the celebration..and it's happy to meet up with people whom you havent been meeting up for donkey years.

*i'm happy to know that i've a bunch of crazy yet close knitted cousins.. ;)
