mask fitting
Thursday, July 24, 2008 4:36 PM Mask fitting was done today during lab practical session; in preparation for attachment. I never knew that the fitting of the N95 mask was so important until Ms Loi (the coordinator) kept emphasizing that if an outbreak like SARS break out during attachment, it is the masks which will save our lives as it keeps the airborne transmission from getting to us. Our class mentor, Janet Chua also specially took the time to speak to us regarding clinical attachment & give us some encouragement; at NYP, it feels like home. They really care & are interested to find out if you are coping well; and if the modules are too taxing. At NP, I never felt this way before.
After today, we’ll really have to put in our best & work hard as there isn’t any time left for us to waste. On Monday, there will be Psychology exam; and then we’ll be left with 5 days to study 5 modules. It really isn’t enough time but tell us, what are we supposed to do? For the first time in my studying life, I felt tremendous fear & am clueless on where to start & how to study for certain modules.
